Sony has just announced that Final Fantasy VII will be available for download over the PlayStation Network today. This is great news for people who have been waiting for a port/remake for so long. So if you have a PSP, you’ll be able to play this classic that changed the role playing genre anywhere you want.

This was just announced at the Nintendo Press conference at the E3. There will be a sequel to the wonderful Golden Sun series on the Nintendo DS. If you haven’t played the Golden Sun games on the Gameboy Advance, I strongly recommend you play them both.
Not much is known about the game yet, but it’s supposed to be released in Spring 2010.

PlayStation LifeStyle has posted a trailer for the next game from Team ICO. If you like games, then check it out. Team ICO has produced 2 of the most beautiful, charming and best games. If you haven’t played ICO or Shadow of the Colossus yet, you should give them a try. Whenever the “game as art” debate comes up, I always think of those two games, they truly are works of art.
Note that the trailer may be two years old. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about this game soon.

Normally when you talk about RPGs, you think about a 30 to 80 hours long game. This PSP game does things differently and I’m really hoping they bring this title to North America.
Basically, an evil wizard is casting a spell that will destroy the world. The spell takes 30 seconds to cast, that’s how long you have to defeat him. That means leveling-up, shoping and getting to the evil fortress. Fortunately, the countdown stops when inside a town to shop and there are ways to reset the clock.
You have to decide how much to level-up, how much to explore and what to buy, all in 30 seconds.
Here’s a video of the gameplay, you can grab the demo on your PSP:
